Description: Interview credit union account and loan applicants, professionally representing the credit union throughout the process. Research background information on loan applicants and resolve discrepancies. Process loan applications and perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union. Assist members with deposit account maintenance. Additionally, this role requires experience in managing Trust Accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), and providing comprehensive personal banking services to meet members’ financial needs.
1. Promote credit union products and services based on members needs.
2. Open new accounts, and service existing accounts. Set up new account files and online banking accounts, and provide members with all necessary information for membership.
3. Interview loan applicants in-person or by phone.
4. Outbound phone calls to new members (welcoming to CFCU and offering products such as checking, online banking, refinance, and ect.)
5. Handle requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, check requests, CD transactions, line of credit advances, and any other requests received from members.
6. Assist members in balancing their accounts.
7. Gather background information on loan applicants by interviewing loan applicants and obtaining credit bureau reports.
8. Pull credit reports for all accounts, verify debts, and estimate monthly payments for any outstanding debts not listed and add them to debts on application
9. Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union, including the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC.
Experience:
- Previous experience in personal banking, including opening accounts, servicing loans, and providing financial guidance.
- Hands-on experience with Trust Accounts and IRAs, ensuring compliance and accurate account management.
- Strong knowledge of credit union products and services, with the ability to identify and recommend solutions based on member needs.
