What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Associate position at Campbellsport Piggly Wiggly?
We are looking to hire part-time deli workers (ages 18 or older preferred).
Duties
- Wait on customers in a polite and efficient manner
- Prepare food items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures
- Slice deli meat and cheese (18 years or older)
- Preparing and frying chicken, fish, and other foods
- Select food items from serving or storage and place in to-go containers
- Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas, such as hot case, refrigerators, and freezers
- Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware
- Wash dishes
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Food prep experience a plus, but willing to train the right person
- 18 or older preferred
