Position Summary:
The Coordinator for Career Services will provide individual career counseling/advising and outreach presentations to students on a variety of topics including resume/cover letter writing, interview practice, job searching and networking. This individual shall develop, direct, and facilitate resources, initiatives, services, and programs that support students' readiness for gainful employment and career success upon graduation. As a member of the unit of Student Life and Christian Mission, the Coordinator will be expected to support the team's efforts to enhance retention and student persistence through graduation. This position requires a student-centered, motivated, creative, and conscientious individual with excellent organizational, supervisory, and administrative skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate opportunities that support students' development of career readiness skills.
- Conduct 1:1 and group career counseling sessions with students

Implement programs that meet students' transition needs, including:
- Educational workshops
- Passive learning opportunities (newsletters, social media, bulletin boards, etc.)
- Oversee administration of the CUHired system powered by Symplicity and maintain the Career Services webpage.
- Collaborate with extended team, alumni affairs, academic affairs, and student life in hosting post-graduation destination fairs, career, undergraduate, and undergraduate level.
- Assist in the administration of the Destination Survey of recent graduates.
- Oversee the management and promotion of Campbell University's Career Closet.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, Title IX and Information Security; including, but not limited to, FERPA and other state and federal mandates.
- Other job-related duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Career Services trends and career readiness needs
- Experience working with student employment within higher education
- Experience in student success
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels
- Excellent interpersonal skills especially those in the areas of collaboration and problem solving
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and constituents, and meet set deadlines
- Comprehensive computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and common methods of digital communication
- Proficiency using and administering social media platforms
- Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with employers, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials, and the public
- Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people
- Exercise good judgment in complex new, and/or stressful situations
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a changing environment
- Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours
- This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity, and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University
