Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney with approximately 2-5 years of experience to join our growing litigation team. This role is ideal for an attorney who is eager to gain hands-on courtroom experience, develop strong advocacy skills, and work closely with experienced litigators.
Our litigation practice focuses primarily on commercial and real estate disputes, with occasional matters involving bankruptcy and creditors' rights. The associate will have meaningful involvement in all phases of litigation, including client communication, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
This is an in-person position in our Franklin office, reflecting our belief that collaboration, mentorship, and client service are best cultivated face-to-face.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
- Assist in developing case strategy and managing litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and other court proceedings.
- Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial preparation.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments and strategy.
- Collaborate with partners and team members to manage caseloads and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to practice law in Tennessee.
- 2-5 years of litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and independently, with appropriate supervision.
- Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail.
- Desire for hands-on litigation experience and long-term professional growth.
