What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, Secondaries position at Campbell Lutyens?
Support deal lead in the execution of a range of complex, secondary market financial transactions including fund portfolio sales, management spin outs, and fund restructurings for clients around the world.
Work closely with senior team members to originate and execute global secondary advisory mandates across private equity, private infrastructure, and private debt. Provide advice on the strategic options, optimal sale strategy, transaction structure, and payment terms. Build and maintain dynamic valuation models. Prepare and negotiate legal documentation. Prepare marketing materials, such as responses to requests for proposal, deal flow generation pitches, and presentations at client meetings. May telecommute within commuting distance of work location one day a week.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in corporate finance plus two years of relevant experience.
Experience must include: knowledge and use of financial modeling and valuation (such as DCF, IRR, MOIC, sensitivity analysis); private equity and fund analytics (Fund Return metrics such as Gross / Net IRR, DPI, TVPI); transaction structuring; Waterfall modeling; Advanced Excel and data visualization tools; and statistical analysis and decision modeling and optimization.
SIE, Series 63 and 7 licenses required. Skill set does not need to be maintained for the full term of required experience.
