Job Description
Responsibilities include the following:
- Five classes to include some combination of the following math courses::
- Geometry/Geometry Honors
- Algebra II/Algebra II Honors
- PreCalculus/Trigonometry
- Math Center
- Each class meets for 75 minutes every other day
- High school advisor (meet three times per week: one weekly group meeting and attendance at two chapels with advisees)
- Supervision duty (once per quarter/semester during lunch)
- Monthly meetings include but are not exclusive to:
- DAT (Deans, Advisors and Teachers)
- Math department
- High school division
- Experiential education trip chaperone (week-long, tent-camping trip)
- Optional chaperoning of Winter Formal and/or Senior Prom
- All-school faculty staff meetings three times per year
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- At least 3 years of teaching experience
- Some administrative experience
- Patience and creativity when working collaboratively with a range of constituent groups, including students, families, faculty, staff and administration from diverse backgrounds (religious, ethnic, socio-economic etc.)
- Strength in both written and verbal methods of communication
- Minimum 3 years of high school experience with students, families, and curriculum
