Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Builder to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves assembling complex, high-precision grinding machines using blueprints, technical documentation, and reference materials. Candidates should be adaptable, self-directed, and committed to producing high-quality work.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
What You’ll Do:
- Assemble high-precision grinding machinery from blueprints, schematics and technical documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
- Perform mechanical assembly including alignment, fitting, and adjustment of machine components
- Read and interpret detailed manufacturing drawings with accuracy
- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, indicators, calipers) to ensure tight tolerances
- Disassemble, troubleshoot, and rebuild machine systems as needed
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve build challenges
- Support machine installation and service at customer sites (travel up to 25%)
Knowledge & Necessary Skills:
- 3 years of experience assembling industrial machinery, machine tools, or custom equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong working knowledge of shop tools and mechanical processes
Preferred Skills:
- Background in machine tool, tool & die, or automation equipment
- Overhead crane and forklift certification is a plus
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office & Outlook)
- Self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement and learning
- Experience with electrical components or integration
- Experience with machine alignment and precision assembly
Education & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on technical experience with machinery or related equipment
- Strong general troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
