Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Duties:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, including electrical and mechanical components
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Inspect and test vehicles to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose problems
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components, such as brakes, suspension systems, and exhaust systems
- Weld and fabricate as needed for repairs or modifications
- Conduct air brake inspections and repairs
- Perform automotive diagnostics to identify complex issues
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, automotive diagnostics, and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Experience with air brake systems, suspension systems, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication
- Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex issues
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients
