Collections Specialist (Part-Time) | Campbell Fire Protection | Suffern, NY
Campbell Fire Protection is a trusted provider of fire protection services, helping keep homes and businesses safe throughout the Tri-State area. We’re currently looking for an experienced and motivated Collections Specialist to join our office team in Suffern, NY on a part-time basis.What You’ll Do
- Handle a high volume of B2B collection calls each day (Business to Business)
- Follow up on past-due invoices and work to secure payments
- Coordinate with the service department to determine next steps on accounts
- Record payments and maintain accurate account details in QuickBooks
- Track progress and stay on top of monthly collection goals
- Update management on account statuses
- Handle difficult conversations professionally and work toward resolution
- Use available tools like payment plans, discounts, service holds, or service tag removals when needed
- Balance getting results while maintaining strong customer relationships
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B collections or accounts receivable
- Comfortable handling tough conversations and resolving issues
- Firm but fair approach—you know how to get results without damaging relationships
- Experience with QuickBooks (required)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)(required)
- Knowledge of FDCPA guidelines is a plus
- Experience in field services or trades is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
Job Details
- Pay: $19–$24/hour, based on experience
- Schedule: Part-time (20–28 hours per week)
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–4 PM (flexible)
- Location: On-site in Suffern, NY
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
