Position Summary:
Partners with parents and families to develop, plan, and implement positive early childhood experiences. Provides high quality early education, child development services, and family support that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Implements research-based curriculum and screening and assessment procedures. Ensures compliance with Early Head Start (EHS) Performance Standards, the National Association for the Education of Young Children accreditation criteria, and Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
Pay Grade: 108
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Child Development Education, Social Work, or a related field • One (1) to three (3) years of experience • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
Special Requirements
Required Licenses or Certifications: • Class C driver's license • CPR/ first aid • Certificate of completion for child abuse and neglect training • Certificate of Family Partnership • Ability to stay current on child development research • Ability to pass a background check
