TITLE: Teaching and Learning Leader – Career and Technical Education
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate with at least five years of successful teaching experience
- Master’s Degree or higher
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and community
- Evidence of teacher leadership
REPORTS TO: Associate Superintendent
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and support to improve the quality of instruction in Career and Technical Education courses across Campbell County Schools.
- Collaborate with principals and teachers to ensure CTE instruction aligns with Kentucky Academic Standards, Career Readiness standards, and industry expectations.
- Support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies, project-based learning, and career-connected learning experiences.
- Analyze student performance data and program outcomes to guide instructional improvements and program development.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of the district’s Destinations Career Pathway Continuum, including:
- Career Cluster Clubs at the elementary level
- Exploratory career courses at the middle school level
- Destination career pathway courses at the high school level
- Ensure alignment and vertical progression of career exploration experiences from elementary through high school.
- Work with school teams to integrate career awareness, exploration, and preparation into curriculum and programming.
- Identify emerging career pathways that align with regional workforce needs and economic development trends.
- Collaborate with district leadership to design, implement, and evaluate new career pathway opportunities.
- Ensure pathways provide students with meaningful opportunities to develop technical skills, industry knowledge, and career readiness competencies.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industries, and community organizations.
- Create opportunities for students to participate in job shadowing, mentorships, internships, and other work-based learning experiences.
- Collaborate with regional workforce organizations, chambers of commerce, and economic development agencies to ensure program alignment with local workforce needs.
- Promote participation in career and technical student organizations and related leadership opportunities.
- Assist with planning, implementation, and evaluation of CTE programming across the district.
- Provide professional learning and coaching for teachers implementing career-connected instruction.
- Coordinate with school counselors, instructional leaders, and administrators to ensure students have access to career pathway opportunities.
- Serve as a liaison between schools, district leadership, postsecondary institutions, and business partners.
- Communicate program goals, opportunities, and outcomes to stakeholders including staff, families, and community partners.
- Representing Campbell County Schools in regional workforce development initiatives and collaborative partnerships
