Essential Functions
- Set up, configure, and deploy computers, monitors, printers, and other IT equipment to support clinical and administrative operations
- Assist with organizing, labeling, tracking, and maintaining IT inventory across multiple hospital departments
- Transport and install equipment in various locations while ensuring minimal disruption to patient care activities
- Prepare outdated or retired equipment for secure disposal or storage in accordance with organizational policies and data security standards
- Provide first-level support for basic technical issues, including hardware setup, connectivity checks, and troubleshooting under supervision
- Assist with software installations, updates, and system imaging as directed by IT staff
- Document completed tasks, equipment changes, and support activities accurately
- Support IT team members with ongoing projects, upgrades, and maintenance initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in IT storage and work areas
- Follow all hospital policies, including HIPAA and information security standards, when handling equipment and data
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational goals
- Education
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate IT-related program preferred, but not required
- Students from non-IT programs with a strong interest in technology are encouraged to apply
