What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corrections - Main Control Operator position at Campbell County Detention Center?
The Main Control Operator is responsible for overseeing all jail operations by monitoring radio traffic and CCTV cameras to ensure safety and security throughout the facility. This role requires vigilant observation to promptly identify and communicate concerns to Deputies or other staff members.
Key duties include operating electronic security systems, such as remotely opening and closing secure doors as needed, and managing access for staff, inmates, and visitors. The Main Control Operator also answers and makes phone calls related to facility operations, incident response, and coordination of activities within the jail.
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective during emergency situations are essential for this position.
This position works 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off.
