What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Technician position at Campanelli?
The Building Technician works under the direction of the Property Manager(s), who oversee the daily operations of multiple office buildings. Duties include preventative maintenance, meter readings, troubleshooting and correcting problems, performing inspections, responding to tenant issues and requests, occasionally being available after hours for emergencies, overseeing contractors working in the building, and some painting. The Building Technician must be knowledgeable about life safety equipment, power plant operations, electrical systems, and all building HVAC systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Preventative Maintenance including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
- Meter Readings
- Troubleshooting and correcting problems
- Perform inspections
- Respond to tenant problems and requests
- Off-hour emergency availability as needed
- Meet and oversee contractors working in the building
- Occasional painting
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in building maintenance or a related field required
- Knowledge of building HVAC, electrical, and plumbing required
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Good mechanical skills and must be a quick learner
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license
