Wellness Attendant-Campanelli YMCA

Job Summary

The Wellness Attendant at the YMCA supports the organization’s mission by providing a welcoming, safe, and clean environment for members and guests. This role assists in day‑to‑day wellness operations, ensures facility readiness, and delivers exceptional member service while promoting healthy living, respect, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet YMCA members and guests in a friendly, inclusive, and professional manner
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of wellness areas, including fitness floor, locker rooms, wellness rooms, and common spaces
• Restock as needed
• Monitor wellness areas to ensure member safety and appropriate facility use
• Provide basic orientation and assistance to members regarding wellness amenities and policies
• Support wellness staff, trainers, and instructors with room setup and breakdown
• Respond to member concerns promptly and escalate issues when appropriate
• Follow all YMCA policies, health standards, and safety procedures
• Promote YMCA programs, services, and healthy living initiatives
• Uphold YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Customer service or facility support experience preferred
• Passion for health, wellness, and community service
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift light to moderate weight throughout the shift

Required Certifications (Preferred or Upon Hire)

• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within required timeframe)
• YMCA New Employee Orientation (upon hire)
