What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at Campaign for Uyghurs?
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement advocacy initiatives aligned with organizational human rights objectives.
- Lead strategic communications, developing high-quality speeches, op-eds, talking points, press materials, and policy briefs.
- Lead social media engagement, including content development and platform management, to amplify advocacy goals.
- Assist in managing the full grant lifecycle, including identifying funding opportunities, proposal development, and writing reports.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise events, workshops, and conferences, ensuring alignment with program goals and measurable outcomes.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with policymakers, NGOs, academic institutions, and partner organizations to strengthen advocacy impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Human Rights, Political Science, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in advocacy, policy, or human rights work.
- Strong knowledge of Uyghur and China-related issues, and international human rights mechanisms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing speeches, reports, and advocacy materials.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
