Camp YJ is a warm, inclusive overnight camp located on a beautiful lake in southern New Hampshire. We serve 200–250 campers per session (ages 8–15) and pride ourselves on a fun, community-driven culture.
Our nursing team consists of 4 live-in RNs, nursing students, and a highly supportive leadership team.
What You’ll Do
As a Camp Nurse, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the health and wellness of campers and staff throughout the summer. Responsibilities include:
- Provide daily nursing assessment and care
- Administer medications and oversee proper storage/packaging
- Lead four daily med passes with team support
- Respond promptly to injuries, illnesses, and urgent needs
- Maintain accurate health records
- Communicate health updates to camp leadership
- Interact professionally and reassuringly with parents
- Help maintain a calm, organized Health Center environment

Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact or NH or willing to obtain NH license prior to the summer)
- Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, emergency/urgent care, or prior camp experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work with children ages 8–15
- Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic
- Ability to commit to the full summer season
