About Us
Camp Wagalong is an exciting new dog boarding and daycare concept! Located on our beautiful 5-acre camp, we offer dogs more physical, sensory, and mental engagement than traditional boarding facilities. We are seeking an experienced, dog-loving leader to help us bring this vision to life.
The Role
Our Camp Leads oversee a team of 4–5 members during their shift. In this role, you will coordinate camp-wide activities, help our host team with pet parent concerns, monitor the health and safety of our campers, and ensure daily operations run like clockwork.
Some Responsibilities Include:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support camp counselors to ensure they are actively engaging with their playgroups of 15–20 dogs.
- Training & Culture: Train new team members, fostering a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
- Dog Safety & Health: Monitor dog behavior and health, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Facility Operations: Securely open and close the facility while strictly following operational and safety protocols.
- Maintain Standards: Perform cleaning tasks and maintain a spotless, sanitary environment throughout the camp.
- Care & Medication: Feed and medicate dogs precisely as instructed, keeping meticulous records.
- Communication: Maintain open, effective communication with camp management.
- Flexibility: Perform other operational duties as assigned to keep camp running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading and motivating a team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods (both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions).
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Reliability: Trustworthy, with reliable transportation (including the capability to safely transport a dog to the vet in an emergency).
- Availability: Weekend and holiday availability is required.
