Join our fun and energetic summer day camp team! We're currently looking for a passionate and skilled Computer Counselor/Specialist to lead our campers in fun and educational computer activities.
Summary
We are seeking a certified teacher with strong computer skills to serve as our Computer Counselor. The perfect candidate will be enthusiastic about working with campers ages 4-14 and have experience using computer programs such as kid-friendly educational games, website design and basic trouble shooting. You will lead daily computer activities that are both fun and enriching for our campers. Each group of campers has a maximum of 15 campers and they always come to your activity with a counselor and a assistant counselor. The period is thirty-five minutes long with a five minute break before the next group of cmapers comes tto your air-conditioned room.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage campers in structured computer time
- Teach basic computer skils such as word perfect, web design and video game creation
- Guide campers through age-appropriate games on the computer
- Maintain and troubleshoot basic computer hardware/software issues.
- Assist other staff with computer/technology needs
Requirements
- Must be a certified teacher
- Strong computer skills
- Experience working with children
- Patience amd great classroom management skills
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $650.00 - $750.00 per week
