Qualifications
- Must be a registered nurse with a current, valid California nursing license.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs and/or camp experience is desirable.
- Must hold current CPR certification.
- Must have demonstrated leadership skills consistent with Camp Tuolumne Trails rules and policies.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and perform the physically rigorous daily care tasks for individuals with mild, moderate, and severe physical disabilities.
- Must be able to reside on site when camp is in session.
- Must agree to abide by Camp Tuolumne Trails rules and policies.
- Must pass Live Scan background check.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows procedures outlined in the Camp Nursing Manual and Physician’s Standing Orders.
- Directly responsible to the Program Director but works closely with the Unit Directors in the management of camper care. Consults daily with the Program Director and other supervisors regarding camper concerns.
- Responsible for all medical care administered to assigned campers and the daily documentation of such care. Nursing notes are to be kept current and thorough and are to be added to the camper files at the end of each session.
- Responsible for the distribution and immediate charting of all medications distributed to assigned campers and staff.
- Responsible for pre-camp screening (temperature, throat, and general physical condition) of assigned campers and medication check-in and verification.
- Conducts pre-camp screening of staff, each session, prior to camper arrival.
- In an emergency, assumes responsibility for any job deemed necessary by the Camp Manager to ensure the safety of campers and staff.
- Acts with professionalism in all circumstances.
- At the end of the summer season:
- Completes end of summer report.
- Completes inventory of all medical supplies and submits a list of recommended supplies for the next year.
- Insures that all medical records and pertinent documentation is complete and turned in to the Program Director.
Salary : $500
