What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Camp Taconic?
We are looking for RNs and LPNs to work with us at Camp Taconic this summer! Camp Taconic is a sleep-away camp in Western Massachusetts that serves 550 campers and 300 staff members. The Health Center staff is made up of 10 nurses, 4 nursing assistants, 1 pediatrician and a Health Center Administrator. Working in Taconic’s Health Center is a wonderful way to spend the summer!
Working at Taconic over the summer is a great fit for traveling nurses or school nurses. It is a nice way to earn a salary during the summer months in a safe and rewarding work environment. We also provide one of the best summer camp experiences in the country if you have children between the ages of 7-16.
What we offer:
- Salary ranging between $1,100-$1,700 per week

Responsibilities:
- Dispensing medication
- Triaging
- Administering first-aid
- Keeping accurate medical records
- Communicating with staff, parents and administration
Qualifications:
- Valid RN License
- Proficient in patient care and assessment
- Skilled in catheterization, IV insertion, and tube feeding
- Knowledge of EHR systems, including Epic and Cerner
- Experience in critical care and long-term care settings
- Familiarity with airway management and specimen collection
- Ability to provide basic life support and health coaching
