Position Summary
The Site Director oversees all daily operations at one Camp Success Academy location from arrival to dismissal. This role sets the tone for both staff and students while ensuring exceptional programming, compliance, and family engagement.
The Site Director reports to the Director of Compliance and works closely with CSA leadership to maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing site.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Oversee all daily site operations from student arrival to dismissal
- Supervise and support instructors, support staff, and the Afternoon Site Lead
- Ensure smooth transitions throughout the program day
- Maintain a positive, child-centered culture
Staffing & Team Management
- Ensure staff arrive on time and follow program procedures
- Coordinate substitute coverage and manage call-off procedures
- Conduct regular check-ins with team leads and instructors
- Support staff coaching, onboarding, and professional growth
Compliance & Administration
- Manage program email communications
- Oversee Bright from the Start and compliance-related correspondence
- Manage onboarding documentation and background check compliance
- Ensure all documentation, reports, and required records are completed accurately
- Maintain audit-ready files and program standards
Parent & Family Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parent concerns
- Address behavior concerns and escalate major issues when necessary
- Create a welcoming, professional environment for families
Program Support
- Ensure classrooms have supplies and resources
- Coordinate instructor planning and coverage
- Support implementation of enrichment activities and homework support
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Previous experience in childcare, afterschool programs, or youth development
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass all required background checks and licensing requirements
Preferred:
- Experience with Bright from the Start (DECAL)
- Experience with Playground, Homebase, Slack, or similar systems
- School-age childcare leadership experience
