Camp Ramah New England is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and community‑minded individuals to join our 2026 summer staff. If you enjoy working with children, love the outdoors, and want to spend your summer making a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
We are currently hiring for:
- Lifeguard & Swim Instructor
- Ceramics Instructor
- Office Assistant
Season Dates: June 21 – August 14
Schedule: Wednesdays and Saturdays off
Location: Camp Ramah New England (Palmer, MA)
Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old
Work Options: Positions may be commuter or live on site
Lifeguard & Swim Instructor
Responsibilities:
- Guard our lakefront waterfront and ensure camper safety
- Teach swim lessons to campers of varying ages
- Support boating activities as needed (kayaks, canoes, paddleboards)
- Maintain a positive, safety‑focused environment
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid lifeguard certification (Red Cross or equivalent)
- Strong communication and situational‑awareness skills
- Comfort working outdoors at a lakefront waterfront
Ceramics Instructor
Responsibilities:
- Teach ceramics classes to campers ages 8–16
- Lead both hand‑building and wheel‑throwing projects
- Manage studio setup, cleanup, and kiln operations
- Foster a creative, encouraging environment
Requirements:
- Must be proficient in wheel throwing
- Experience teaching or working with children preferred
- Ability to maintain a safe, organized studio
Office Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Support daily administrative operations
- Answer phones
- Provide general office support to the leadership team
- Maintain a friendly, professional presence for families and staff
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfort with basic computer tasks and multitasking
- Positive, team‑oriented attitude
