What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Counselor Overnight June 2026 position at Camp Point Clear?
Camp Point Clear (CPC) is a summer camp on the lake in Guntersville, Alabama. We are seeing enthusiastic counselors to come work at this spend the night camp from June 3-28! This is an all-girls camp, with a small number of male counselors to assist with activities. We are hiring for both female and male counselors from rising high school seniors to graduating seniors in college or around 22 Years Old.
Our daily classes/activities include swimming, canoeing and sailing, water skiing and tubing, arts and crafts, pickle ball and tennis, and land sports. Each counselor has a class they are in charge of along with other counselors, and there are nightly group activities that the counselors participate in. Female counselors sleep with a group of girl campers, although do not have to stay with this same group during the day. The campers are aged around 8-16.
This is a family camp started in New Orleans run by 3 sisters that started when their parents opened CPC in 1972. There are around 200 campers each summer, who either come for the first week, the second two weeks, or all three weeks. Many campers and counselors are from different parts of the US, with a majority coming from South Carolina and Louisiana. All counselors stay for the full 3 weeks and come a few days early to get settled in and learn the job.
