Camp Pinecliffe, a residential camp for girls in Maine, is looking to hire pediatric / school nurses for the upcoming summer. We have approximately 200 campers, 80 staff members, and a medical team of nurses and doctors. This will be our 109th consecutive summer in operation. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of our long-standing community and our well-practiced medical team. This is a summer camp environment, and scheduling is reflected in the infirmary (health center) hours.

Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Assessments: Conduct evaluations of injuries and illnesses in a timely and professional manner
- Medication Administration: Dispense prescribed medications and maintain accurate records of all medications administered
- Emergent Response: Respond immediately to medical emergencies, including basic first aid, CPR, and transport to local clinics or emergency rooms when necessary
- Supply Management: Maintain inventory of medical supplies, order replacements, and ensure the infirmary is stocked with essential items
- Health and Safety: Monitor the health of campers and staff, including any pre-existing conditions or new medical concerns, and provide necessary care
- Preparation for Camp Season: Arrive two weeks prior to the start of the camp to set up the infirmary, prepare medications, and organize medical supplies
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN (Registered Nurse) licensure in Maine, or Compact Status
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, staff, and parents
- Ability to adapt to the fast-paced, dynamic camp environment
- Must be comfortable handling emergencies and making quick decisions
- BLS certification (current)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in school nursing, emergency care, pediatrics, or camp nursing
- Ability to maintain calm and professionalism in high-stress situations
- Organizational skills to manage medical supplies and records efficiently
Compensation:
- Bi-weekly pay
- On-site housing and meals provided
- Transportation Reimbursement to and from camp
