Camp Pemigewassett (Pemi), a summer camp for boys seeks qualified individuals to join our health care team for the 2025 summer. Candidates should be RNs, LPNs, NPs or PAs.
Founded in 1908, Pemi is the oldest residential boys camp in the country under the same continuous family ownership and management. Pemi campers can attend a full 7-week session, or choose from a shorter 3-week or 4-week session. Pemi offers a wide-ranging curriculum, including all athletics, water sports, trips, nature, music, arts, and drama. Camp occupies a beautiful 600-acre site on the shores of Lower Baker Pond in the White Mountain Region of New Hampshire, about 25 miles northeast of Hanover, New Hampshire.
The camp season runs eight weeks, from June 14 through August 10. An abbreviated term of employment is available, if schedules dictate a shorter commitment. We are seeking dynamic health care professionals with great energy, nursing skills, communication skills and warmth who will work as part of our well-staffed health care team.
We provide room, board and worker's compensation insurance. All of our non-cabin staff live in residence at Pemi (with individual rooms and wifi), eat meals in the Mess Hall, attend staff meetings, and share in the joy of living in a vibrant community. Responsibilities include
● providing basic health support for our 160 campers and 70 staff members
● pre-camp screening of staff and campers
● general first aid & management of numerous first aid kits
● responding to emergency and sick care
● oversight of daily medications
● scheduling doctor/dentist appointments
● communication with parents
● cooperative work with our other health care team members
