What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Maintenance Staff position at Camp Mont Shenandoah?
CAMP MONT SHENANDOAH, a summer camp for girls located in Millboro Springs, Virginia, seeks seasonal maintenance workers to assist with the facilities, including cutting grass, weed-eating, raking, and general maintenance. This position is available now through the end of the year with possible longer term opportunity.
Requirements include:
- A basic knowledge of and experience with small engine use, including lawn mowers, weed-eaters, leaf blowers, etc.
- A desire to work outdoors.
- A can-do attitude.
- Ability to follow directions and adhere to established policies.
- Ability to work independently as well as be part of a team.
- Ability to remain on feet for extended periods of time; lift and move heavy objects
- Bonus: experience in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting
Qualifications:
- Mature, reliable and good character. A sense of humor is a plus.
- Must be safety oriented
- Posses current drivers license
Criminal background, sex offender registry and driver checks will be conducted on the successful candidate(s). Hourly pay commensurate with skill and experience. Camp Mont Shenandoah is a smoke-free environment.
