Full Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician III at Camp Margaritaville Resort Crystal Beach! We are a high-energy, guest-focused resort dedicated to creating fun and escapism for every guest who visits our property. Our maintenance team plays a critical role in keeping the resort safe, operational, and guest-ready at all times.

As a Maintenance Technician III, you’ll provide advanced technical expertise and leadership to support the operation and upkeep of resort infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. This senior-level position is ideal for someone with strong trade knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to handle complex maintenance issues in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Technical Operations:

Perform advanced maintenance and repair work in specialized areas such as HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, or related trades.
Lead complex repairs, installations, and facility upgrade projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve urgent or high-level maintenance issues efficiently.
Coordinate with outside vendors, contractors, and inspectors to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
Maintain operational readiness across resort facilities including pools, restaurants, bars, recreation areas, and guest spaces.

Leadership & Team Support:

Support the Resort Maintenance Manager with oversight of maintenance staff and assigned projects.
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I & II team members.
Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to safety procedures.
Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and guest satisfaction.

Preventive Maintenance & Compliance:

Develop and support preventive maintenance schedules for resort facilities and infrastructure.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
Keep accurate maintenance records, logs, and reporting documentation.
Identify potential issues proactively to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.

Golf Cart Fleet Management:

Assist in maintaining the resort golf cart fleet to ensure carts are safe, clean, and operational.
Conduct routine inspections including batteries, tires, charging systems, and overall mechanical condition.
Report or complete minor repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
Support charging schedules, storage organization, and cart rotation procedures.

On-Call & Resort Operations Support:

Participate in the resort’s on-call maintenance rotation as scheduled.
Remain responsive to after-hours emergencies, guest concerns, and urgent operational needs.
Respond promptly to maintenance calls and escalate issues appropriately when needed.
Assist other departments and support resort operations during peak periods or special events.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
Trade school training or equivalent experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Active trade certification or license in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, or related specialty preferred.
OSHA 10 or additional safety certifications are a plus.
Minimum 5 years of maintenance or engineering experience required.
Previous leadership or crew management experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, on-call rotations, and peak season hours based on resort operational needs.
