Role Description
This is a volunteer, on-site role for a Craft Coordinator at Camp Kno-Koma located in Lewisburg, WV. The Craft Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading arts and crafts activities for campers. Other responsibilities include managing craft materials, ensuring workspace safety, and assisting in creating a fun and inclusive environment that encourages creativity and participation. Collaboration with camp staff, adherence to camp schedules, and maintaining a positive and supportive demeanor are essential aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Experience in arts and crafts activities, such as painting, drawing, or crafting techniques
- Strong organizational and planning skills to manage craft sessions effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with campers and collaborate with staff
- Ability to work with children and foster a positive, inclusive, and creative environment
- Problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances or camper needs
- First aid training or CPR certification is an asset
- Prior experience in a camp or similar setting is highly desirable
