What are the responsibilities and job description for the One Week Overnight Camp Mental Health Professional position at Camp Kesem at Augustana?
Camp Kesem at Augustana College is looking for a mental health professional to join their summer camp team! Kesem offers a free week-long camp for kids affected by their parent’s cancer. Camp is free to attend, and the camp is planned, managed, and staffed by college student volunteers from Augustana College
Camp will be held from August 3-7 2025 at Camp Bear Creek in Wyoming, Iowa .
As a mental health professional, you will be responsible for supporting campers and counselors on various issues. Some of these issues are behavioral but others may tie to home situations or bereavement. You must have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, School Counseling, or a related Mental Health field, but are not required to have full licensure.
All potential candidates will undergo a background check and interview process. Compensation and travel expense reimbursement are available and will be discussed during the interview.
