Role Description
This is a full-time, Seasonal, on-site role as Director of Leadership Development at Camp Jorn YMCA, based in Manitowish Waters, WI. The Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programs aimed at cultivating leadership skills among staff, campers, and volunteers. Key responsibilities include developing and leading training sessions, mentoring staff, overseeing skill-building initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the camp's mission and values. Additional responsibilities include managing leadership development programs, coordinating with other departments, and fostering an inclusive and enriching environment at the camp.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Training & Development and Leadership Development
- Strong skills in Coaching and Program Management
- Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated passion for personal and professional growth of youth and staff
- Experience in an outdoor education, camp, or nonprofit setting is beneficial
- Master's degree in education, Management, or related field is preferred
