What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bus Driver (15 seater) position at Camp Embark?
We’re currently looking for a dependable, personable, and detail-oriented individual to join us as a School Transportation Driver in West Miramar. This is an ideal role for a stay-at-home parent, retiree, or anyone with a heart for working with children in a meaningful and structured way.
Shift Options Available
- Morning Shift: 5:30/6:00 AM – 8:30 AM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (urgently)

Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport students between home and school on a 15-passenger bus
- Provide a warm, respectful, and professional experience for students and families
- Manage routes efficiently using GPS or driving/direction applications
- Maintain clear, professional communication with staff and parents
- Keep the bus interior clean, organized, and safe
- Uphold all traffic laws and transportation safety standards
Who We're Looking For
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are a must
- You must be punctual, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Comfortable using navigation or routing apps (e.g., Google Maps, Waze, etc.)
- Professional and courteous in all parent and staff interactions
- Enjoys working with children and maintaining a structured environment
Qualifications
- Clean driving record required (no previous citations or accidents)
- Level 2 background check (must be successfully completed)
- Chauffeur/HACK license mandatory
- GPS management
- Previous school transportation or childcare experience is a plus
- Strong sense of responsibility, time management, and teamwork
