Summary

We are seeking a passionate Children's Art Teacher and Head Specialist to inspire young minds through creative arts. Located in Oyster Bay, this role is vital in enriching our campers' summer experience by integrating artistic activities that promote development and fun.
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging art curriculum tailored for children of various age groups.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity.
• Manage classroom activities ensuring safety and engagement.
• Collaborate with camp staff to integrate art projects into broader camp activities.
• Support children's emotional and social development through art-based interactions.
• Maintain organized art supplies and ensure proper usage.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate special needs or individual learning styles.
• Promote a fun, safe, and educational atmosphere in line with camp values.
• Qualifications
• Proven experience in teaching art or related creative fields to children.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• First aid certification is preferred.
• Experience working with children in educational or camp settings.
• Ability to foster creativity and inclusivity.
• Excellent communication skills with both children and staff.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles.
• Enthusiasm for working outdoors and engaging in camp activities.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
