Camp Counselor (Dog Attendant) at Camp Bow Wow

Camp Bow Wow in Charleston, SC is looking for one camp counselor (dog attendant) to join our 20 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact with dogs in both indoor and outdoor play areas.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility, including cleaning up after dogs maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Provide basic grooming and feeding as needed.
• Monitor group play and intervene as necessary to maintain a safe and positive environment.
• Administer medications and follow special instructions for individual dogs as directed by their owners.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pet's activities and behavior.

Qualifications

• High school diploma

Requirements:

• Passion for working with dogs and providing exceptional care.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience working with dogs preferred but not required.
