What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Coordinator position at Camp Bishopswood?
Directly responsible to: Assistant Director or Camp Director
Part of Bishopswood's Leadership Team.
Requirements: Age 21 with valid driver's license; experience with photography, videography, or social media content creation preferred; ability to drive a 12-passenger van (training provided if needed)
Responsibilities: Capture, organize, and share the story of Bishopswood through photography and social media, while supporting the camp's transportation and program needs.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Take high-quality photos of daily camp life, special events, and camper activities that reflect Bishopswood's values and community spirit.
- Manage, organize, and upload photos for parent communication, social media, and camp archives.
- Sort and catalog photos throughout the summer for use in newsletters, marketing, and promotional materials year-round.
- Create and post engaging content to camp's social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) following camp guidelines and schedules.
- Work with the Director and Assistant Director to develop and execute a weekly content plan.
- Drive campers and staff to and from off-site trips, airports, or other locations as assigned.
- Support off-site trips and activities as needed, contributing to a safe and positive experience for all participants.
- Assist with camp-wide programs and events, including setup, photography, and other logistical needs.
- Act as host at tables during meals and assist with transition activities before meals.
- Set an overall good example for campers and staff.
- Prepare a written evaluation at the end of the summer following the guidelines provided by the Director.
