This is a full-time, on-site Summer Counselor role located in Jacksons Gap, AL. Counselors will supervise and support campers with disabilities, ensuring their safety, engagement, and well-being throughout the camp experience. Daily tasks include facilitating and participating in camp activities, assisting campers with personal needs, and fostering an inclusive environment that promotes individual growth and enjoyment. Counselors will work closely with fellow staff members to create a memorable and enriching camp experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and interact with campers of diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in caregiving or working with individuals with disabilities is highly beneficial.
- Ability to manage group activities, demonstrate leadership, and maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address the unique needs and challenges of each camper.
- A passion for community service, teamwork, and creating meaningful experiences for others.
- Availability to reside on-site during the summer session and participate in all required training.
