We are seeking a Morning Kitchen Supervisor with proven hands-on cooking experience to lead our kitchen operations during morning shifts. Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee food preparation and cooking during morning shifts.
- Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders.
- Recruit, train, and support team members in designated stations.
- Ensure proper food presentation, portion sizes, and temperature control.
- Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct weekly assessments.
- Collaborate with the corporate chef on menu pricing and updates.
- Schedule work shifts and manage payroll budgets in line with labor expectations.
- Maintain weekly and monthly cost reports.
- Uphold sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Store food products in compliance with health regulations.
- Support day-to-day operations when the Kitchen Manager is off.
- Manage food, beverage, labor, and controllable expenses.
Job Qualifications:
- Required: Strong background as a Cook, with practical culinary skills and professional kitchen experience.
- Preferred: Experience as an expeditor or in similar roles.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Solid understanding of how kitchen operations connect to hotel Food & Beverage functions.
- Flexibility to work any shift, any day, with minimum 8β10 hour workdays.
- Demonstrated success in hiring, training, and empowering employees, with consistent feedback and accountability.
- Capacity to foster teamwork and maintain productive peer relationships.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Ability to respond to stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
