Our client is a fast-growing software company serving a large, diverse base of businesses across the United States. Their suite of industry-specific tools powers thousands of independent retailers and supports billions of dollars in annual sales. As they scale, they are investing heavily in data, strategic planning, and financial infrastructure to support long-term growth.
We are partnering with them to appoint a Strategic Finance Manager, a high-impact individual contributor who will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial visibility, performance, and strategic decision-making.

The Role
Reporting to the VP of Corporate Development, you will sit at the center of forecasting, financial reporting, and cross-functional partnerships. You will enhance financial processes, build reliable reporting frameworks, and help evaluate strategic initiatives across Product, Operations, Sales, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecast KPIs and track performance against targets
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including actuals vs budget, management packs, and financial summaries
- Strengthen financial processes, tooling, and data hygiene to improve accuracy and accountability
- Partner closely with Operations, Product, Sales, and Finance to align operational metrics with financial outcomes
- Support the evaluation of new strategic initiatives, including business cases and ROI analysis
- Assist in due diligence processes for new markets, partnerships, and M&A opportunities
- Execute ad hoc analyses that drive strategic and operational clarity
Skills & Experience
- 2 years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, or a similar analytical role
- Exposure to software or technology environments is preferred
- Strong Excel and quantitative analysis skills; ability to translate data into insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets
- Clear, concise communicator with the ability to present to senior executives
- Strong organizational skills with a process-driven approach
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
