· Ability to educate clients/individuals about their mental illness and their medications.
· Knowledge of psychiatric medications – their indications and potential side effects – and the ability to accurately oversee medication administration and documentation of these medications
· Ability to recognize potential crisis situations, deescalate potential crisis situations, and recognize medical emergencies and respond appropriately.
