Construction Project Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage multiple high quality project installations within the Sandhills area. This is a full-time position with high-touch customer service for a small company with well-established history in the area.
The project manager should most importantly be a clear communicator; they should be organized and capable of working in coordination with others. They should be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to verify project requirements and ensure accuracy throughout the construction process.
Skills should include familiarity with contracts management, including drafting, reviewing, and enforcing contractual obligations for trades; skilled in blueprint reading and understanding of construction drawings; strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques.
This role encompasses acting as liaison between three distinct areas: client, design and field. The project manager should have the goal of creating a positive experience for clients while maintaining project objectives - artistry and budget. Principal areas of responsibility include:
Relationship with client:
- Maintain client adherence to selection schedule.
- Conduct monthly allowance reviews with clients.
- Assembly of client selections and product literature into client book at project completion.
Relationship with design:
- Develop relationships with new vendors and research new products.
- Assist with preliminary in-house estimating during design development.
- Assist with material estimates of projects whether in-house or through outside estimators for contracts.
- Obtain quotes from trades with clearly defined scope of work.
Relationship with field:
- Monitor and adhere to the project budgets.
- Communicating orders from vendors to the field
- Maintaining contact with vendors and trades to provide forecasted schedules for upcoming projects and maintaining coordination of project scheduling with field superintendent.
- Reconciling bills in office, including checking materials against vendor quotes and trades against contracts.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
