Description

SUMMARY: The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator ensures the operational continuity of CAMICO by managing all corporate registrations, insurance licensing, and regulatory filings. You will act as the primary gatekeeper for compliance, ensuring all state requirements are met for the company and its licensed employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • License Maintenance: Oversee the lifecycle of corporate annual reports for both the carrier and agency in partnership with third-party vendors.
  • Submission Oversight: Direct the application and appointment process for agency, producer, and adjuster licenses to ensure no lapse in authorization.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Track continuing education (CE) credits for staff, providing proactive guidance to ensure all professional licenses remain active.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for state regulators, managing correspondence and responding to inquiries with accuracy.
  • Operational Support: Manage department financial reporting (credit card expenses/invoices) and maintain high-integrity regulatory databases and spreadsheets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Execute onboarding tasks for new agencies and provide support for departmental projects as directed by Department Head.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma; 2 years of administrative or coordinator experience. Background in the insurance industry or handling regulatory documents is a significant plus. Strong ability to perform assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner; strong organizational skills and the ability to meet externally imposed deadlines; and good verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.

Leadership/Organizational Skills

Requires strong organizational skills/abilities. Requires good written, oral, interpersonal and time management skills.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance application forms/regulatory documents. Ability to speak effectively to customers, peers, management and regulators. Ability to write correspondences.

Company Representation

Ability to determine and represent CAMICO’s best business interests when interfacing with various regulators.

Technical And Math Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to calculate figures like discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions finished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Responsibilities

Ability to perform other responsibilities as determined by the Department Head.
