SUMMARY: The Regional Warehouse Operations Manager owns the day to day operations across an assigned cluster of warehouses to deliver safe, on time, in full shipments, responsive customer service, strong inventory health and disciplined expense-while executing New Business Model (NBM) policies and driving continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

Warehouse Operations & Service Excellence

  • Ensure daily branch readiness (staffing, safety, equipment, housekeeping/6S) and resolve escalations swiftly; maintain OTIF and order to ship cycle time targets. (Identify) coverage for all positions.
  • Standardize order entry processes across branches to deliver consistent customer experience, SLA adherence and AI utilization
  • Act as first escalation point for Customer Service; follow and coordinate with Corporate CS as needed.
  • Proactively identify process gaps and operational bottlenecks impacting order entry, receiving, picking, staging, or shipping and drive corrective action.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Plants, Finance, IT, as needed, to develop solutions that reduce friction and streamline end to end workflows.

Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Control

  • OTD performance: receiving accuracy, put away SLA, pick accuracy, freight costs,
  • Enforce SOPs for freight claims, load verification, and carrier compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement, maintain an optimized warehouse layout that supports efficient flow of materials, labelling, minimizes clutter, and align with 6S and safety standards.
  • Lead initiatives to improve storage capacity, including racking utilization, and inventory placement strategies as needed.
  • Implement and maintain process controls that reduce overstock, prevent congestion, and improve discipline, accuracy, and overall warehouse productivity.

Inventory Management (Min/Max, Replenishment Levels)

  • Set and review reorder points, min/max, and safety stock quarterly per branch;
  • Annual physical inventory management
  • Quarterly reviews of Slow moving items over 12 months and over 24 months including inventory write offs and adjustments
  • Cycle counts as required, for accuracy, measure KPIs, identify correction action.
  • Coordinate regional stocking strategies-including participation in hub/super branch trials-and harmonize transfers among branches/plants.

Operational Expenses & Budget Discipline

  • Own branch OPEX lines (labor, freight, supplies, facility, shrink-wrap, consumables)
  • Monthly financial review of expenses vs. budget
  • Approve routine expenses
  • Initiate capital expenses as required and completion of Capex requests within delegated authority; partner with Finance on accruals and inventory provisions.

People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and performance manage multi site operations teams; build bench strength and succession for key roles.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and skills development aligned to company leadership frameworks and job description standards.

KPI Cadence & Reporting with focus on WIN Scorecard:

  • Responsible for tracking and managing branch KPI's.

Safety, Quality, and Compliance

  • Ensure EHS compliance, incident reporting, corrective actions, and safety training cadence, partnering with Service personnel; maintain audit readiness.
  • Support compliance requirements as needed.

Project & Continuous Improvement Participation

  • Actively participate in cross functional projects, and continuous improvement initiatives, providing operational insight and driving improvements.
  • Support rollout of new systems, process changes, ensuring smooth implementation and staff adoption.

Facilities & Lease Management

  • Maintain full visibility of branch facility leases, including monitoring expiration dates, notice periods, and renewal timelines.
  • Conduct assessments of current branch space-including capacity, efficiency, and functional adequacy-to determine whether expansions, renovations, or relocations are required.
  • Partner with Real Estate/Facilities to evaluate new potential locations, review proposed lease terms, and provide operational requirements to support negotiations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive warehouse, distribution, or operations experience, including multi‑site or regional responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading warehouse operations across receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory control in a high‑volume environment.
  • Proven people‑management experience, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and succession planning for hourly and salaried teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory management principles, including min/max planning, safety stock, cycle counting, physical inventories, and slow‑moving inventory analysis.
  • Experience managing operating budgets and warehouse OPEX (labor, freight, supplies, facilities) with accountability for cost control and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, standardize processes, and implement SOPs across multiple locations.
  • Solid understanding of EHS, OSHA, and safety compliance requirements within warehouse and industrial environments; experience maintaining audit readiness preferred.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering with Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing/Plants, Finance, IT, and Facilities.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and KPI reporting; ability to analyze data and translate metrics into operational action.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage escalations and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region and work in office, warehouse, and plant environments as required.




WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, plant environments, and varying outdoor weather conditions. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
