SUMMARY: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Cycle count material continuously as per schedule.
- Investigate all inventory discrepancies (Raw, FG, WIP, back flush, and negative on hand), determine root cause and develop corrective actions
- Perform inventory adjustments in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, when required, after the issues have been fully investigated.
- Reconcile all inventory locations within 24 hours.
- Identify and implement control group cycle counts for high running or critical part numbers
- Audit inventory
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory discrepancies
- Reconcile material substitutions and ensure proper allocations and transactions are posted
- Maintain Kanban System
- In conjunction with approved vendor(s), (when available), purchase supply materials based on Min/Max set in Kanban system
- Verify all scrap reports are collected and entered into MacPac
- Identification and disposition of slow moving / obsolete inventory
- Applies FIFO (First in first out) methodology to raw materials
- Manage and lead the inventory review meeting - provide all inventory analysis by transaction type (UN, UP, Q, BN, WS, etc.)
- Communicates to senior leadership material variances by product category
- Complies with facility cycle count standard work
- Identifies space opportunities to consolidate inventory
- Maintains accurate barcode and rack location labels
- Maintain inventory for all offsite, trailer, or secondary warehouse locations
- Manage consignment inventory - manage transactions with suppliers
- With cross-training and versatility requirements at the Kilgore/Longview locations, employee may be required to fill in other positions (i.e. production associate, operator, etc) as management may deem necessary.
- When needed, assist Materials Management team with all warehouse activities, including use of a forklift
- Ability to work overtime.
- Clean warehouse areas during each shift
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES: N/A
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of inventory management systems (barcode, AS400 program and Kanban system). Strong attention to detail. Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft package. Forklift (Camfil certified).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma, Community College or equivalent, 2-3 years' experience in warehouse setting, and minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak English effectively to management and employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with numerous large numbers and multiple units of measure.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required interrupt numerical and alpha letterings and match accordingly to pick lists. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to various conditions of lighting, mixed forklift areas and several packaging equipment.
