Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with the preparation, service, and clean up of meals at the High School, including working in the dish room washing dishes. This is a 8:30 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. shift. Benefits include: Free school lunch, Wisconsin Retirement, LTD, paid personal & sick days.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks while maintaining the high quality food products from the department.
- Knowledge of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program regulations and nutrition policies helpful.
- Understanding of offer-vs-serve, reimbursable meal patterns, and production worksheets.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Must be able to read and write with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but basic written and oral instruction.
- Good organizational and communication skills to complete work and run a smooth schedule.
- Ability to learn quickly and be flexible to change.
- Have enthusiasm, and the ability to work as a team member.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with co-workers, students, staff, and community members in a positive manner.
