Cameron Park Zoo’s Education Department is looking for part-time Zoo Instructors.
As a member of the Education Department, the Zoo Instructor would be responsible for:
- Facilitating the Wild Nights program
- Facilitating the Zoo Snooze program and staying overnight at the Zoo
- Coordinating and training staff to work Snoozes and Wild Nights
- Setting up and working special events
- Teaching a session of Zoo School
- Handling other miscellaneous jobs as assigned
Job Requirements
High School Diploma
Self-starter with good organizational skills
Good communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, Google docs
Willing to handle Animal Ambassadors, including reptiles and invertebrates
The Zoo Instructor position is part-time as scheduled by the Education Curator. You will be required to work one overnight program per week. Typical work week would be Thursday-Sunday morning, depending on the Programs scheduled. Pay is $15/hour.
