At Cameron Chemicals, you’ll join a family-run, nationally recognized manufacturer of high-quality micronutrients where your role in shipping and receiving directly supports customers from coast to coast—and around the world.
Shipping and Receiving
Responsibilities:
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Working directly with Truckers and Customers.
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Becomes proficient in the use of the company software, SAGE.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet and archiving of all shipping and receiving.
- Engages with vendors and truck drivers with a positive attitude
- Provides additional backup support for other plant operations
- Work with Logistics Analyst regarding purchase order entries
- Sample raw materials. Lift, climb, and sample dusty materials. (may need climb 5 feet)
- Check every shipment before discharge.
(Climb in/out of every truck (4ft). Accurately count pallets and check for correct product)
Shipping and Receiving Qualifications/Skills:
- Maintain inventory of Office supplies and PPE
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, in person and over the phone
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Be familiar with and proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and other computer programs as needed
- Be familiar with operating a printer/copier
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds multiple times as needed.
- Other duties as assigned or directed.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 6 months of logistics, retail, or customer service experience. Preferred.
- Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred
