JOB TITLE: Speech Therapist
SHIFT: PRN position, All Shifts

JOB SUMMARY
Provides Speech Therapy services following the Indiana State Practice Act, including patient evaluations, treatment, and regular progress reports for medically referred outpatients and hospitalized patients.
Qualifications/Education Required
- Master’s degree in communication Disorders/Speech Pathology.
Skills / Competencies
- Basic Life Support certified within orientation period according to hospital policy.
License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech/Language Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
- Speech Pathology Licensure from the State of Indiana, or temporary permit.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- May supervise Speech Therapy students including conducting performance evaluations following 1 year of work experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Evaluation and treatment of all patients referred for Speech Therapy, which may include inpatients and outpatients.
- Demonstrates proficient use of hospital required computer programs.
- Responsible for patient’s insurance authorization to ensure financial reimbursement.
