JOB TITLE: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

SHIFT:  1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Bi-weekly, Full-time, Days.  M-F.

This position is Benefit Eligible.

Summary/Objective

Provides medical direction and treatment of patients within the practitioner’s scope of practice and in collaboration with the supervising physician.

Essential Functions

• Exemplifies good customer service.
• Collaborates with Multidisciplinary team in office and hospital to assure continuity of care.
• Conducts a comprehensive assessment of patients, interprets medical histories, performs physical examinations, identifies problems, and formulates a plan of treatment per standard of care.
• Assess normal and abnormal findings from the patient history, physical examination, laboratory test, and other diagnostic findings.
• Documents patient care services in the patient’s EMR, prescribes medications, and discharge instructions in a timely manner.
• Works closely with collaborating physician in treating or referring patients with significant abnormal findings.
• Participates in process improvement.
• Carries out all duties in a manner consistent with Cameron’s guiding principles and values and according to Cameron’s policies and procedures.
• Adheres to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, as appropriate

Qualifications

Experience

• Two years’ experience in designated clinic preferred

Skills/Competencies

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multitask and problem solve

Education Required

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Licenses Requirements

• Current License in the State of Indiana
• Certified/boarded, if applicable, in their specialty or willing to obtain within six months of hire
• Current DEA certificate without restriction
• Must be able to meet Cameron Hospital’s credentialing requirements.
• Complete a CAQH and update annually as required.
