JOB TITLE: Patient Safety Companion
SHIFT: PRN, Part time as needed, must be available for all shifts and weekends
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must demonstrate a helpful attitude and ability to accept direction.
2. Must be reliable.
3. Must be carefully groomed.
4. Must be 18 years or older and possess a High School diploma or equivalent within One (1) year of employment.
JOB SUMMARY
Performs observation services for specific assigned patient(s).
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
1. Exemplifies good customer service.
2. Regular reliable attendance.
3. Ability to get along with others.
4. Demonstrates proficient use of email.
5. Assists patients as directed by primary nurse.
6. Reports unusual patient conditions/occurrences to staff nurse.
7. Follows Standard Precaution guidelines.
8. Demonstrates support for nursing and supervisory staff.
9. Ensures patient safety by utilizing side rails and other precautions as indicated.
10. Maintains confidentiality.
