The team is committed to delivering polished, consistent visual content that supports clients’ professional branding and communication needs.
Role Description The Junior Photographer role is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY. This role supports senior photographers by assisting with studio and on-location shoots, setting up lighting and equipment, and preparing backdrops and sets. The Junior Photographer will capture images under guidance, manage file organization, and perform basic post-production tasks such as cropping, color correction, and image selection. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining studio cleanliness, checking equipment functionality, coordinating with clients and internal team members, and ensuring sessions run smoothly and on schedule. The role also involves learning studio standards, following established workflows, and contributing to a professional, client-focused environment.
Qualifications
  • Foundational photography skills, including basic understanding of composition, exposure, and camera operation.
  • Experience or coursework in studio lighting and on-location shooting, with willingness to follow established lighting setups.
  • Basic proficiency with digital imaging software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop) for file management and simple edits.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing shoots, equipment, and digital assets.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a client-service mindset, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move photography equipment, and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Relevant education or training in photography, visual arts, or a related field is beneficial; prior internship or assistant experience in a studio setting is a plus.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and openness to feedback and ongoing learning.
